Passifly
1 Information we collect
We collect information you give us directly, information generated by using the app, and limited technical information needed to keep the app working reliably.
1.1 Account information
When you create a Passifly account, we collect your first and last name, email address, gender (male or female), school name, academic level, unit or specialty (optional), and a username. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and Google account photo instead of asking you to type these in.
1.2 Study activity and performance data
We record the mock exams and practice sessions you complete, your scores, your streaks, and any questions you bookmark for later review. This is what powers your progress dashboard and lets you pick up where you left off.
1.3 Profile photo
If you choose to add a profile photo, it's uploaded and stored securely. Adding a photo is entirely optional.
1.4 Payment information
When you purchase access to a Mock Examination or a Pre-Exam by Unit, your payment is processed by Paystack. We receive confirmation that a payment succeeded, along with the amount and a transaction reference, but we do not receive or store your card number, expiry date, or CVV.
1.5 Device and diagnostic information
We use Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics to understand how the app is used and to catch crashes before they affect many people. This includes device type, app version, general usage events (like starting a mock exam), and crash reports. We also store a device notification token so we can send you exam reminders and updates, if you allow notifications.
2 How we use your information
- To create and maintain your account, and let you log back in.
- To show you your practice history, scores, and progress over time.
- To unlock paid content once a payment is confirmed.
- To send you notifications you've opted into, such as exam reminders.
- To find and fix bugs, and understand which parts of the app are actually useful.
- To respond when you contact us for help.
We do not use your information to show you third-party advertising, and we do not sell your personal information to anyone.
3 Third-party services we use
Passifly is built on a small number of trusted providers, each handling a specific part of the service:

Each of these providers has its own privacy policy governing how they handle data on our behalf.
4 How we share information
We share information only in the following situations:
- With the service providers listed above, strictly to operate the app.
- If required to by law, regulation, or a valid legal process.
- To protect the rights, safety, or property of Passifly, our users, or the public.
5 Data retention
We keep your account and study data for as long as your account is active, so your progress and history stay available to you. If you delete your account, your profile and associated data are removed. Some anonymized or aggregated usage data may be retained for analytics purposes, since it can no longer identify you.
6 Your rights and choices
- Access and correction: you can view and update most of your profile information directly from the Profile screen in the app.
- Account deletion: you can permanently delete your account and associated data from within the app at any time. If you're unable to access the app, you can request deletion by emailing us at passiflyhere@gmail.com.
- Notifications: you can turn off push notifications at any time from your device settings.
- Questions or requests: you can reach out to us using the contact details at the end of this policy for anything not covered by the options above.
7 Children's privacy
Passifly is built for university and college-level Medical Laboratory Science students preparing for a professional examination. It is not directed at, and is not intended to be used by, children. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will remove it.
8 Security
We rely on Firebase's security infrastructure to protect your data, including encrypted connections between the app and our servers. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information from unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure.
9 International data transfers
Our service providers may store and process data on servers located outside Nigeria. By using Passifly, you understand that your information may be transferred to, and processed in, countries with different data protection laws than your own.
10 Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time as the app evolves. If we make a material change, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
